Our mission

BLOSSOM’s mission is to bridge the gap between public authorities and private financial actors to accelerate the adoption of transformative, bankable climate adaptation and mitigation solutions. By fostering collaboration through Living Labs and Communities of Practice, and leveraging AI, digital twins, and innovative financing schemes, BLOSSOM empowers local communities and stakeholders to co-design, test, and implement scalable solutions that are financially viable, socially inclusive, and environmentally resilient.

Our objectives

Connecting knowledge networks and fostering cross-domain sharing to promote bankable, transformative climate resilience solutions.

Promote Living Labs to co-develop and validate an Investing Models Framework, ensuring sustainability.

Develop financially driven and adaptive services, models, and tools, including AI-based decision support tools.

Establish social and ICT methods, participatory tools, and processes for better and efficient stakeholder participation.

Develop and demonstrate transformative bankable climate resilience solutions that also target the improvement of sustainability, biodiversity, inclusivity and livability of the local communities.

Replication of the BLOSSOM methodology and tools through mentoring and coaching in the wider project network of regions/cities.

Support the adoption and maintenance of sustainable BLOSSOM solutions for urban and regional planning, aimed at resilience and climate neutrality.

Develop novel business models and strategies for regional/urban resilience, and other co-benefits.
